1. As long as everyone has been fed, the house can remain a mess.

2. I’m definitely older than I thought.

3. Friends are support groups, clergy, doctors, psychologists, reality-checkers, cheerleaders and sanity keepers all wrapped up into one (shout out to the Squad…and that includes you Leah).

4. My husband is my true and necessary partner.

5. Bitchy, passive-aggressive women who don’t have children at home and who don’t work for a living deserve 0% of my time or worry.
